Bauer/Grace Family Reunion

So last weekend we had my dad's side of the family's family reunion up in Park City Utah. They had a bunch of fun activities planned such as : Zip Lining, the slide , boating , dancing,  Shopping etc :) Thursday when everyone got into town we just had dinner and chit chatted :).  Friday we went out boating , my uncle and brother in law have boats so they brought their boats and took turns taking different groups out.  Later that night we got back to the hotel had dinner then some of the cousins put on a talent show then my uncle David put together a line dance for the family to do so everyone did that.  Then we just kept playing music while everyone danced around and had a good time :) It was  a really fun night! Saturday everyone did their own thing then met up around 12 for lunch and what not.   My mom was able to go for the first day then the next day her and my dad left early. My mom  wasn't feeling too good and got overwhelmed very easily by my dad's big family so to play it  safe they went home. I stayed back with my sister and her family and left early on saturday  since me or my sister weren't feeling good and we were all tired and didn't feel like doing anything. It was was a great time with all the family and so good to see everyone we haven't seen in awhile or don't get to see very much. Lady Gaga

So i know i've been slacking big time so i decided to update my blog finally on Lady Gaga's concert 2 weeks ago !! I went to the Lady Gaga concert with my sister 2 weeks ago it was the best concert ever !!! She put on an AMAZING  show ,  she interacted with audience alot , during one of her songs she called someone from the audience wich was really cool && we got to hear the conversation ! Before she came out we waited about an hour for her to come out but , it was totally worth it since she's so amazing herself && puts on such an amazing show so i didn't mind !! : ) 




We saw alot of people dressed all crazy like Gaga ! In her costumes && such . It was fun to look around && see people dressed up all crazy just for her !! So during the concert with our asigned seats my sister was sitting next to his gay guy , he was so funny to watch we kept watching him more than the concert lol !! He would dance && sing to all of her songs knew all of her dance moves , he was so entertaining to watch we loved it !!! Ha Ha !! So we had a great time at the concert , it was fun to just go with my sister && go with her to my first concert !! St . George Trip

So last weekend me && my friend Andrea ( Andy ) went to St . George for the weekend . The trip was unplanned && a last minute spontanious thing , so we were quite excited to go ! It was the night before when we decided everything , we didn't have the money to afford it , but were young && we made it work just so we could get away && have some fun for a few days in nice weather . While we were there we had many many good times , i found out that one of my best guy friends was there && my best friends husband was too for work . So one night we tried to meet up to go bowling , but things kinda failed so we decided to stay in until i got a txt saying they wanted to hang out && had a car so me && Andy got in the car drove to walmart to wait to see what they decided to go , well we said the bowling alley , well while waiting to hear back from the guys me && Andy were talking && i had a ton of sugar that night so i was so hyper which made the night more fun , so i just kept talking , talking , talking , talking , so she's like " your like a parot , just give you sugar && you talk " LOL it was pretty hilarious !




 If you know me i'm a pretty quiet && shy person but when i'm with friends i can be loud but , i was pretty quiet with her so when i had sugar it was pretty funny && made our night . So anyway we met up with the guys to go bowling , well we went into town && it's at night we don't know our way around St . George so we got lost , the guys told us to pick a place to meet them , so we met at the outlets we sat in our cars windows down && talked . Talking with the guys they told us where the bowling alley was && it was closed so we started laughing because i said " what the heck we went up && down that way , this way , left && right , here && there ya know " So then they started asking us what to do , they said " you can jump off this building "  I said " no thanks , i don't plan on dieing tonight but thanks for the thought " , so then they asked us what we would do around St . George if we only had 24 hrs left to live i said " well i'd go to Mc Donalds && eat , get me some food , because i like to eat ha ha " So i asked them the same question the one guy said " drive to vegas as fast as i could && have a blast " So anyway we decided where to go i said lets go to Mc Donalds i told you earlier we should of went , so we went  && went through the drive thru well , we wanted fries && a chocolate shake , they told us " we don't have any shakes ... , well we do ... , ha ha i mean our ice cream machine is being cleaned out right now ....  " Isn't Mc Donalds suppose to be 24/7 && have everything ? Lol apparently not , we got fries went back && talked to the guys in the car .




 It was a pretty fun night && lots of laughs . It was probably one of best nights there , if it wasn't for my guy friends being there too at the same time , our trip probably wouldn't of have been as good && we wouldn't have these good stories to tell :) . So to say they made our road trip , even though we only got to hang out with them for maybe a half hour or so because , St . George is a small town && not much to do everything closes early but , it was still fun to meet up for that little bit of time . Each night me && Andy stayed up watching chick flicks , well .. we tried at least , i was either falling asleep , or she was falling asleep ha ha but we still had fun ! I couldn't imagined of going on this road trip with any of my other friends besides Andy !! She was so much fun ! Here's some pictures from our trip ..

Funny story : We got half way down the road getting ready to head home , when all of a sudden out of the blue i was like " oh my gosh we forgot our ice cream " So andy said " do you want to go back && get it ' i said " yes of course lets do it ! " So of course we turned around went back to my grandma's , went inside got it && my grandma was laughing at us lol had to turn around for our ice cream . Yeah .. it's that important :D lol .

Mom Update

So i know i've been slacking big time lately but , not much has really been going on to post . My mom has been doing pretty good , since she has came back from the hospital when we last went to the ER && they kept her overnight for two nights she has been doing fine . She's been going to therapy 4 times a week , she goes && rocks it everytime && of course she doesn't remember but she rocks it as always ! Her memory has slowly been coming back , we have been seeing some improvements , a few days ago she remembered things that happened last week , when usually she can't even remember she'll get mad saying no we didn't do that , no i didn't go , we went && saw my parents or i'm home visiting for the weekend . So we've seen improvements with her memory , so we know it's there it's just taking some time to fully get back :) . As i said in the begining there really isn't much to report on my mom , she's just doing good && relaxes when she's not doing therapy . The movements in her arms has been getting better , somedays it's better than others but , she can scratch an itch if she has one , move her hair out of her face , my dad got these things he puts over the silverwear when she's eating , so she can reach && feed herself so she doesn't have to rely on my dad to feed her . It's been pretty nice she likes it , makes her feel so independent . That's about it && i'll keep posting as time goes on if there is anything to update about . 

Going HOME

What a great Valentines this way this year ! My mom got to go home on Valentines Day after being in the hospital for 142 days !! We were all soo excited to have my mom come home for good after being sick for so long , it was so nice to have that day be here and have her back with us at home ! I stayed home that day so i could be here when my sister brought over the Welcome Home sign we made for our mom . My sister bought her balloons and , came over and we put the sign up and tied the balloons to the railing . So that afternoon my mom came home and i was just so excited to have her home , she saw the balloons and sign and loved it and thought it was so nice and sweet of us . We had my older sister and her cute little family over for a little bit and we just visited . Her first night home was okay , she got sick that night so my dad took care of her and let her get her rest . We had a doctors appt the next day with the Siezure Epileptologist Doctor . The appt went good , just asked how things have been going and she's been looking into my mom's case for awhile since we got there and has read all of her EEG'S .




 Anyway they just wanted to start lowering the valium on my mom , because sometimes that make it cloudy up in the brain and be part of the confusion so we started lowering it today and things have been great ! They want to keep everything else the same with her meds and see how she does with the valium first , then we will have another check up with her again i'm not sure when but sometime soon , then in about 3 months or so they want to do an EEG see how my mom's brain waves look and if any siezure activity is going on , then 6 months they want to do an MRI . We found out from her last EEG they did about 2 maybe 3 weeks ago the left side of the brain was still agitated , and she said that could be the cause of why she still has those moments where she zones out .  It gets pretty scary but she comes back . 




So she will always have doctor appts and she starts outpatient physical thereapy next wednesday until she's all the way better ! My dad has been taking care of my mom and i've been here helping him since i don't work right now , it's been pretty good and at times stressful trying to help him take care of my mom and get other things done but were making it:) . I told my dad to get a picture of my mom leaving the hospital the day she got released so here is a picture of her leaving and the sign we made for her .

Thank you everyone at IMC for taking such great care of my mom and giving us the miracle that she is !!! All of the nurses and doctors at IMC were amazing and became like a second family to us . We couldn't have gone through this without you guys and the support from everyone else and all the prayers . WE BELIEVE IN MIRACLES !!!! 

First Concert

So i have never been to a concert my whole life and i heard that one of my favorite artists Laday Gaga was coming to concert !! I was so excited when i heard and i txtd my sister asking if she wanted to go , which she did and so i bought the tickets and now we can't wait for the concert !!! It's March 19th and it can't come any faster . So of course the tickets came a few days ago and what did i do ?? Yes , i took a picture of them because i was so excited and it's my first concert . It should be an amazing concert since she's so crazy !!! <3

Update On My Mom

I figured what a better way to keep everyone updated on my mom by a blog . So i will write on here once a week or so on how my mom is doing , and let everyone know how she's doing to being home when she getrs to go home . Anyway so the update on my mom . She has been doing so good lately  and , kicking butt in Physical Therapy everyday along with Speech and Ocupational Therapy . Her short term memory is still not all the way  back . We know and are confident she will get it back but it will just take some time .


Everyday she gets stronger and stronger and impresses us all the time with how well she is progressing .The poor thing and her arms still aren't doing that good , she seems to have more movement with them when they work her on them in , Ocupational Therapy then she can reach to scratch her head or , whatevfer it is . Hoping that whatever ihas to be done , that she can her arms back to normal and moving them . Today she hasn't been feeling very good at all , she got sick this morning after breakfast and her meds  the poor thing  !!  Hopefully she feels better by this afternoon to at least get in some therapy for the day .


We just found out today that our mom will be released to go home on the 14th wich is this coming monday !!! We are so excited to have her be coming home for good but , at the same nervous just because we've had all the nurses and doctors here to watch over her and take care of her . I'm sure things will go great once she gets home and hopefully that will help with her memory too !! I can't begin to explain how ecstatic i am to be having my mom come home , it's been so long and  , to look back at all we've been through and just see that she is still here and our miracle mom is just amazing , and more than words can express !!!! She is amazing and can't see what this new year brings us and how well my mom does with getting better .




I want to say Thank You So Much to everyone who has prayed everyday for my mom , and been here for our family . It truly means alot to us  and , without all of you being our big support system we wouldn't have been able to get through this ! Thank You Thank You Thank You soo much  !!!


I want to say Thanks to my dad !! He has been such a great help through all of this , he has stayed strong through thick and thin with our mom being sick . He never once gave up , lost hope , or had a doubt in his mind that our mom wouldn't rise again !!! Even when the doctors had nothing good to tell us , he always found a way to tell us in a better way , and put some hope into what was said . He has been amazing through all this , everything he has been through and is doing now for our mom , we couldn't ask for a better dad !!!!  Thank You Dad for everything you have done for mom and will continue to do for her to get her better !! I look up to you alot and hope to one day find someone like you  !!!
